What Tire Installation Includes
What happens when new tires are installed?
The exact service can vary by wheel, tire and TPMS design, but professional installation commonly includes:
- Removing the old tire

Many vehicles use direct TPMS sensors mounted inside the wheel. Sensor seals, valve hardware and service components can age or leak over time. If the TPMS light is on or a component is damaged during inspection, Joe’s can recommend the appropriate service.
Use the vehicle’s recommended pressure — not the tire sidewall maximum.
The correct cold tire pressure is typically listed on the driver-side door placard. The pressure molded into the tire sidewall is not the normal inflation target for the vehicle.
Alignment After Installation
New tires do not automatically require an alignment, but old wear patterns can reveal when one is needed.
If the previous tires show excessive inner-edge or outer-edge wear, the vehicle pulls to one side or the steering wheel is off-center, alignment should be checked. Worn suspension or steering components may also need repair before alignment can be set correctly.
Installing Customer-Supplied Tires
Fitment and tire condition should be confirmed before installation.
If you already have tires, Joe’s can inspect the size, condition, age and compatibility before installation. Tires with structural damage, excessive age, incorrect sizing or other safety concerns may not be suitable for installation.
