What can make the steering wheel vibrate?
Uneven rotating mass
An imbalanced tire-and-wheel assembly commonly creates vibration that becomes noticeable within a particular speed range.
Uneven wear or internal damage
Cupping, flat spots, tread problems or internal tire separation can cause vibration even when balance weights are correct.
Bent or damaged rim

Does a shaking steering wheel mean the alignment is bad?
Not usually by itself. Wheel alignment primarily affects how the tires point and track, so common alignment symptoms include pulling, an off-center steering wheel and uneven tire wear. Wheel balance problems are more directly associated with speed-related vibration.

Why does the steering wheel shake when I press the brake pedal?
