Why does a cooling system start leaking?
Age, swelling or cracking
Rubber coolant hoses can soften, split or leak at their connections as they age.
Seam or core failure
Radiators can leak from corrosion, impact damage, plastic tank cracks or failed seams.

A failing water pump may leak coolant and can eventually reduce circulation or make noise.
